How to calculate practical length of pipe is mentioned as below in consideration
of length of pipe to be inserted into joint. Take into consideration of length between
the both of joint centers, calculate practical pipe's length.
Plastic Joint
ø28 Metal Joint
ø32 Metal Joint
Limits of temperature for actual use
The temperature for practical use of ABS resin for Pipe & Joint is limited to -10℃
~ 80℃. So please avoid the place of which temperature is out of the limit or place
near heat or fire.
Regarding Strength of Logiform Pipe and Plastic Joint
Like other materials such as steel, aluminum and wood, the strength of Logiform
structures rely on the design and assembly techniques. In case of establishing structures
with LOGIFORM pipes, proper strength to fit its utility objective and safety must
be considered to design. The structure required special strengh is necessary to
be manufactured with strengthful stability, which can be asked to our office anytime.

Simply supported both sides of pipe
Concentrated load on the center of the pipe
Force rate:2kg/min

Compression Strength
Max. compression load as 1,752kgs in case of below model (Applied with metal joint
HJ-2)

[Test Condition]
Compression Speed :100mm/min
Normal Temperature
Load applied impartially on four edges as up and down paralyzed.

Strength
Max. Tension Strength is 800kgs after a week since Logiform Pipe was attached with
plastic joint(J-2B)
[Test Condition]
Tension Speed : 200mm/min

Regarding Stability
Sufficient stability is needed to be considered as constructing
of a structure. Those of fixed load as 1/3, repetition load as 1/5, impact load
as 1/12 are preferable in consideration of above mentioned of strength, load. Please
avoid the case of improper utility by using Logiform pipe, appropriate application
with this is recommended.
[1] Max. Holding strength of Logiform Pipe attached with metal joints against horizontal,
vertical pulling force is 80kgs
[Test Condition]
A force was applied on center of the pipe, force rate 1kg/min under Normal Temperature
[02] These tests were performed at room temperature, force rate was 1kg/min, a force
was applied on the center of the pipe
[03] The maximum force withstood by the shelf made of 28Ø pipes and joints in this
example was 200kg(440lbs) before slipping occurred.

|
[Testing Condition]
A downward force was applied evenly on a shelf at room temperature
and force rate was 3kg/min |
Strength of Ø32 metal joint
[01] In case pulling force was applied vertically, horizontally on Logiform Pipes
attached with metal joints.
Pulling Rate : 5 mm/min Normal
Temperature.
[02] Proportional Margin Load of Logiform Pipe attached with metal joints as follow
when 1,000mm of distance between center of both joints is applied.
Force applied in the center of the pipe, force rate:1kg/min, normal temperature
Application Notice
The above examples refer to metal joints which have been attached at the recommended
torque of 9.8N * m (100kg *m or 7 1/4 *ft). Please tight firmly not to be loosen.
These results will not be duplicated with other torque values, or in cases where
pipe other than Logiform standard pipe is used. Also they are actual test values
without any safety factors added.
- Yield strength refers to the point where any further force would permanently deform
the pipe.
In order to manufacture pipes, joint's materials, piling-up vehicles, piling-up
stand and sliding rack, etc as per customer's purpose and concept. it's necessary
to keep sequence and check points as the following;
1st View usage purposes, analysis
of load conditions, usage surroundings, etc for products to be manufactured
